Valentines Day Weekend

For my first "Pet Peeve" photo, I took a picture of Tony brushing
his teeth. Many people have put my tooth brush in their mouth and
I can't stand it! The worst part is that they know I don;t like it and do
it anyway. I told Tony to just brush his teeth and so he did. In Photoshop,
I enhanced his eyes so the viewer is drawn to them. I really enjoy this photo.
My second "Pet Peeve" photo is also of Tony. We both dislike snow
and cold weather so it was rather a challenge for us both to stand outside,
when it was snowing and cold, to take photos. I also enhanced his eyes
in this photo which actually helped with the overall photo.
This photo of Tony is my number one for "Portraits". This photo
was also taken outside and I stood rather close to him to have just
his face in the photo. I also enhanced his eyes and lightened the photo
up because it was a little dark when I took it. This is another photo
that I greatly enjoy.
This is Abby and she is my number two for "Portraits". This photo
was taken indoors and I am actually very happy how the color turned
out.
For my third "Portrait" photo, I used Rachelle. This photo
was also taken indoors and I, once again, enhanced her eyes. I love the
texture that you see in her hair and in her face. The shirt is really yellow
which I kind of don't like, but her eyes capture the viewer almost more.
For my fourth "Portrait" photo, I used Alaura. This photo was also
taken indoors next to a window. In Photoshop, I enhanced her eyes
and darkened the background to help focus the viewer on her face.
This is my first "Texture" photo. My friend was eating a giant, chocolate
muffin at a table and I just sat down and took several photos of her
eating it. I got a lot of really good shots that I am proud of, but I
thought this one would be the best. I really like the warm, red tones
in this photo against the muffin. It separates the
subject from the rest of the photo.
This is my second "Texture" photo. I was having a clumsy day and
had spilled a whole bag of frozen strawberries all over the floor. I saw
it as an opportunity to get some different shots using my small, digital
camera. I was very proud in the photos that I had taken because it
was very unexpected. The viewer can really see the texture in
the strawberries really well.
This is the first of my two "Landscape" photos. They are building
a new home down a few lots from my house so I decided to pull
over and take some photos to see if I could get a cool pictures.
The sun was setting in the west which gave the sky
an orange-ish glow.
This is the second of my two "Landscape" photos. This
photo is a little more blue then I had originally had wanted. This
spot is where an old railroad track goes off into the woods
and the trees and bushes have overgrown the tracks.
This is the first of my two "Selective Focus" photos. I had
taken a few photos with the hands outside the frame but I
really like how much the hands add to the photo. The depth of
field is very strong in this photo also.
This is the second of my two "Selective Focus" photos. Originally,
there was a younger girl standing where my friend is standing in
the photo, but the girl moved away too quickly before I decided
that it would make a good photo. Having my friend instead in
the photo gave the photo more of an outcast kind of feel because
other teens are playing ninja as she just stands and stars.
