Mood Portraits.

I chose to do happy for my first mood photo. I took my friend to a really haggard barn near my house thinking I wasn't going to get good photos because the weather was horrible. The sun did decided to come out and I got great lighting. I positioned my friend in a tree so the sun would light her face up. In photoshop, I just enhanced her eyes.I chose to do somber/sad for my second mood photo. I took this one indoors using candles as a light source. In photoshop, I enhanced the eyes then added a black & white layer with an enhancement layer on top of all of it. The photo was a little blurry to begin with because i left the time frame run longer but it did help with the mood.

Light Portraits

For this photo, I took a photo of my sister in a tree. I used the
sun as my light source and made sure to set my camera so it wouldn't wash
her face out. The light pattern on her face is half face. All I did in
photoshop was enhance her eyes so they popped more. I think
this photo turned out really well.
For this photo, I took a picture of my friend Rachelle. I was really
determined to get a nice photo of her because the past ones haven't been
the greatest. I used the sun set as my light source once again and use the light
pattern of loop. In photoshop I cropped it on the right side and bottom
a little because there was a distracting brick wall that I didn't like at all.
For this photo, I took a photo of my friend Sarah. I used the
light pattern of rembrandt using the sun. I like how her face turned out
but after I was done editing, I realized that her head looks like it's floating
from her body. The original photo is like that so I can't do much about it.
I will definitely pay more attention to that next time.

5 Solid Photos

I took this photo at night in Horicon at an intersection. I took
a lot of in focus photos of this scene but I found this one to be my
favorite. My goal was to capture the warm, golden lights as the
green lights turned to yellow then red.
I took this photo at an intersection in Horicon as I was walking
back to my car. I liked how the green light was reflecting off of the
window of the shop. In photoshop I darkened the sky which helps drawn
the viewers eye straight to the green.
For this photo I just took a picture of Evan watching a movie.
He didn't see me taking a photo of him which I think helped add
emotion to the photo because he isn't posing.
A whole group of people were watching a movie one night and
I turned around to see Megan and her little brother, Evan, sitting on
the couch together while Brynna was sitting on the floor. I thought it
was a completely adorable so I grabbed my camera and took a
few shots. The only thing that bothers me about this photo
is Brynna's face.
I took this photo in a restaurant as we were just about to
start eating our food. In photoshop I duplicated the original layer
and enhanced it. Then I made another layer from the original and
made it black and white. Because I added two layers, it gave the
black and white a hint of color which I found was really cool
looking and different from the traditional black and white.
